KOTA SAMARAHAN: Two local men escaped with minor injuries after the Perodua Myvi they were travelling in crashed into a street lamp post at Kampung Bukit Berangan early Sunday morning (Aug 23).
The victims, both aged 22, managed to get out of the vehicle on their own following the 4.35 am accident.
Firefighters from Kota Samarahan station were dispatched to the scene, about 13 kilometres away, following an emergency call.
Upon arrival, they found the car emitting smoke and sparks from its engine.
However, the vehicle did not catch fire and no firefighting operation was required.
The team only provided initial treatment to the victims before transporting them to hospital for further care.
Once the situation was deemed safe, the rescue operation ended at 5.24 am.
