KUCHING: Around 9,000 music enthusiasts turned up for the first night of the Borderland Music Festival 2026 at Sarawak Cultural Village here on Friday night.

The two-day festival, held on Sept 11 and 12, features local and regional music acts, offering festival-goers a night of live performances in the unique setting of Sarawak Cultural Village.

The first night featured performances by Fizz B2B Mago, Chukiess & Whackboi B2B BorrizZ, Veena and DNA ft. MC Parkz.

The programme continued with Ramengvrl ft. Iindahkus, DIA and KENZ, followed by the opening show at 8.45 pm.

The night then continued with performances by Blasterjaxx, Ben Nicky and Arcando, who closed the first-night programme at 11 pm.

The strong turnout of around 9,000 people highlighted the festival’s appeal among music fans, with crowds enjoying performances throughout the evening.

The festival continues tonight with Yibi B2B Lele opening the second-day programme at 3.30 pm, followed by a line-up including Mia Q B2B Rad Kid, Hades, Ezra Hazard, Tiger Burger & Friends, Mariana Bo, Juelz and KSHMR.

The festival concluded with an ending ceremony at 11.55 pm.
