KUCHING: Preparations for the Malaysia Day 2026 celebration at the Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK) are going on smoothly following a full rehearsal on Sunday that went smoothly.
The rehearsal involved various parties, including technical and security teams as well as performance participants, to ensure that every aspect of the celebration scheduled for Sept 16 can be carried out in an orderly manner.
Minister for Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts Datuk Seri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah, who is also minister-in-charge of the Malaysia Day 2026 celebration, was present to inspect the full rehearsal.
Throughout the rehearsal, event coordination, protocol arrangements and stage performances were reviewed to ensure the smooth running of the programme on the actual celebration day.
The smooth rehearsal also reflected the level of preparedness among all parties involved in making the celebration a success.
The Malaysia Day 2026 celebration is scheduled to take place on Sept 16 at BCCK, Kuching, featuring various programmes showcasing the spirit of unity and Malaysia’s cultural diversity.
