PADAWAN: Police arrested six people after a fight at a Kota Sentosa eatery on Sept 18, and the case is still under investigation.
Padawan district police chief Supt Barry William said a team from the Crime Investigation Department (CID) arrested the individuals during Op Cantas.
“They’ve arrested five Indonesian men in Kota Sentosa at 3pm on Sept 20 and believed to be involved in the altercation.
“Meanwhile, another arrest was made on a local man, aged 26, at 5.30pm on Sept 21,” he said in a statement.
All suspects have been detained for questioning to assist with the investigation.
The case is being investigated under Section 324 of the Penal Code for voluntarily causing hurt using dangerous weapons or means.
They will be referred to the Kuching Court today for a remand application to facilitate further investigations.
