SERIAN: The Serian Rafting Challenge 2026 scheduled for Saturday (Sept. 26) has been postponed due to the ongoing haze and high Air Pollutant Index (API) readings.
The decision was made after taking into consideration the health and safety of participants and others involved in the event.
A new date for the challenge will be announced later.
This year marks the first time the Serian Rafting Challenge is included in the Borneo Raft Safari series, with participants earning championship points from the race.
The race was scheduled along the Batang Kayan River, starting from Kampung Tema Mawang in Tebedu and finishing at Kampung Tebakang Dayak.
A total prize pool of RM17,600 is up for grabs across four categories – Men’s Open, Women’s Open, Mixed and Government Agencies.
