KUALA LUMPUR,: The growing demand for the new-generation MyKad has increased the responsibility of the National Registration Department (JPN) to ensure that challenges involving issuance, systems, customer flow and services are addressed effectively.
Its director-general Datuk Badrul Hisham Alias said the positive response and public interest in the new MyKad showed that Malaysians cared about their identity documents.
“If there are problems with the process, we improve it. If there is congestion, we manage it. If there are delays, we find the cause.
“If people are confused, we engage with them and explain. Our job is not to defend problems, but to find solutions,” he said in a Facebook post today.
Badrul Hisham also expressed his appreciation to JPN staff who continue to work tirelessly at counters, in production, systems and behind the scenes to ensure quality services are delivered to the public. – BERNAMA
