Due to the many complains made, Foo said he held a dialogue with Kuching Police Traffic chief DSP Heffyear William Awet recently. During the dialogue, Foo said the public made numerous complaints about the traffic jam at Jalan Tun Razak from 6am to 9am and between 5pm to 7pm.

Foo said he wants a solution from all relevant authorities to find ways to ease or mitigate the situation during the road construction period which is from August to November.

“On We dnes day, w e approached the police traffic for help by sending their traffic warden to the spot concerned to direct traffic flow during peak hours. Despite the lack of manpower, I’m grateful that the people’s voice has been heard and Kuching Police Traffic chief DSP Heffyear has kindly acceded to our request to send their men there during peak hours until the completion of works, scheduled this November,” said Foo.
