TATAU: Two women cheated death after the car they were travelling in plunged into a ravine at KM50 Sibu-Bintulu Road on Tuesday afternoon.

It is understood that the car went out of control before going into the 30-foot-deep ravine.

Members of the public who witnessed the incident were able to pull the 58-year-old driver out of the car, but were unable to do the same with the 56-year-old passenger who was trapped in her seat.
