LIMBANG: An abandoned house at Jalan Kubong, near a marine quarters here, was engulfed in a fire on Sunday (Aug 2).

The State Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) received an emergency call pertaining to the 11.21pm incident and despatched a team of firemen of Limbang fire and rescue station (BBP) to the scene.

Upon arrival, the 40×50 feet house was already destroyed.

Limbang BBP chief PPgB Clarence D Primus Tiandun, who is also the fire operations commander, said that the house was unoccupied.

The firemen managed to get the fire under control at 11.37pm.

No casualties were reported in the incident and the cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
