NANJING: Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg has arrived at the Xikang Guesthouse for a dialogue session with the Jiangsu Provincial Government this morning.
The session forms part of the Premier’s ongoing working visit to China, aimed at further strengthening cooperation between Sarawak and Jiangsu, particularly in energy, investment and sustainable development.
Accompanying the Premier were several senior officials from Sarawak and Petroleum Sarawak Berhad (PETROS).
They included Deputy Minister for Utility (Sarawak Energy and PETROS) Datuk Ibrahim Baki, PETROS chairman Tan Sri Datuk Amar Hamid Bugo, PETROS Group chief executive officer Datuk Janin Girie; PETROS senior vice president (Growth) Datuk Joseph Podtung, and PETROS senior vice president (Human Capital, Corporate Relations and Services) Ismail Said.
Also present were press secretary to the Premier Datuk Ambrose Cheng Loi Hee, private secretary to the Premier Datuk Ahmad Hazlan Ismawi and advisor for Climate Change, Energy and Sustainable Development at the Department of the Premier of Sarawak Dr Angelia Liew San Chuin.
Representing the Jiangsu provincial government were deputy governor Zhao Yan, secretary general Zhao Jianjun, deputy secretary general Xu Huaqi, deputy director general of the Jiangsu Provincial Development and Reform Commission Hang Hai, director general of the Department of Commerce of Jiangsu Government Si Yong, deputy director general of Foreign Affairs Office Jin Shangjun, director general of the state-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of Jiangsu province Dong Liang and chairman of the China Jiangsu International Economic Technology Cooperation Group Ltd. (CJI) Song Qinbo.
