KUCHING: Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg officially inaugurated the George Y Residence in Batu Lintang here on Monday (Feb 24), a prestigious addition to Naim Kuching Paragon’s growing landscape.
Upon his arrival at 12.10pm, Abang Johari was welcomed by representatives from Naim Land Sdn Bhd, Lembaga Amanah Kebajikan Masjid Negeri Sarawak, and Tabung Baitulmal Sarawak.
His presence was met with a lively ‘kompang’ (traditional Malay hand drum) performance and a traditional dance showcase.
As a symbolic gesture of the official opening, Abang Johari signed a commemorative plaque, inscribed with the words ‘George Y Residence officially opened by Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg’.
He also embarked on a private tour of the show unit, which was followed by a private briefing.
He spent approximately an hour at the venue before departing at around 1.35pm.
The George Y Residence is a prestigious development by Peranan Makmur Sdn Bhd, a joint venture between Naim Land Sdn Bhd, Lembaga Amanah Kebajikan Masjid Negeri Sarawak, and Tabung Baitulmal Sarawak.
Adding to the significance of the event, the officiation of George Y. Residence coincided with the earth-breaking ceremony for the upcoming Gleneagles Hospital within Naim Kuching Paragon.
This addition strengthens the area’s potential as a hub for medical tourism, aligning with Sarawak’s vision to enhance healthcare accessibility and urban growth.
With modern amenities and connectivity, George Y Residence contributes to the evolving landscape of Batu Lintang, reinforcing Naim Kuching Paragon as a prime destination for urban living and healthcare excellence.
