Abang Jo, Sarawak delegation now in Abu Dhabi to enhance ties

ABU DHABI: Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg has arrived in Abu Dhabi as part of his ongoing official visit to strengthen Sarawak’s global partnerships and promote strategic government initiatives abroad.

The Premier and his delegation landed at 9 pm local time on Tuesday.

Accompanying him on the visit are Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas, Minister for Transport Datuk Seri Lee Kim Shin, State Secretary Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki, Deputy State Secretary (Economic Planning and Development) Datuk Seri Dr Muhammad Abdullah Zaidel, and senior Sarawak government officials.

The itinerary for Wednesday includes a visit to Khalifa Port, followed by an afternoon stop at the state-of-the-art Zayed International Airport.

In the evening, Abang Johari is expected to attend an official dinner hosted at The St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort.

Abang Johari’s stop in Abu Dhabi follows earlier engagements in London and Toulouse, France.

This official visit sees him sharing several Sarawak Government initiatives, and establishing and strengthening bilateral cooperation and relations at the global level.

Abang Johari is scheduled to return to Sarawak on Thursday.
