KUCHING: Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg paid his weekly visit to the grave of his late wife, Puan Sri Datuk Amar Juma’ani Tun Tuanku Haji Bujang, at the Samariang Muslim Cemetery here today.

As part of his regular Friday routine, Abang Johari was accompanied by his daughter, Dayang Norjihan.

They recited Surah Yasin and offered prayers, seeking Allah’s mercy for the late Juma’ani and that her soul be placed among the righteous.

Juma’ani passed away in 2025. Throughout her life, she was known for her steadfast support of Abang Johari’s public service, often accompanying him at official engagements and community programmes while maintaining a low profile.

Her passing was widely mourned across Sarawak, with many remembering her for her humility, warmth and quiet contributions to social and welfare-related causes.

Abang Johari has continued the weekly visits as a personal tradition of remembrance and prayer.
