The programme continued with a video presentation of the Eid takbir and a montage highlighting the journey of the ‘qurban’ programme which has been held since 2023.
Abang Johari also handed over portions of the sacrificial meat to 10 representatives, representing over 500 total recipients.
The recipients included staff from the Premier’s Department, various ministries, members of MAKSAK-affiliated clubs, and underprivileged individuals (‘asnaf’) from the Kuching area.
A total of six cows were sacrificed during this year’s programme – four donated by Abang Johari himself, and two contributed by MAKSAK Sarawak.
