The Tourism, Arts, Culture, Youth and Sports minister said he was puzzled when Sarawak PH supported both the amendment to Article 1(2) of the Federal Constitution when it was first tabled on April 9, and then also supported the motion that the amendment must be in pursuant to the Malaysian Agreement 1963 (MA63) tabled during the DUN sitting.
“I wonder what their stance is? This shows they ‘cakap tak serupa bikin’ (don’t walk the talk),” he said in his ministerial winding-up speech during the DUN sitting.
He said as today (yesterday) marked PH’s one year in office, there were just too many U-turns on policies.

“During their election manifesto, they promised Sarawak 20 per cent oil royalty, and 50 per cent tax collected from Sarawak to be given back, and the abolishment of PTPTN.
“After the election, we realised that all this were just lies, there are so many uncertainties,” he said.
He added that some PH leaders would also fake their educational background.
“Lying about education and academic background will hit the core of integrity,” he stressed.
He said even so much that the price of stock had plummeted and Bursa Malaysia showed the worst performance after PH took over the government.
“This are facts, and you would agree with me that the public already have feelings of unhappiness,” he pointed out.
The three by-elections in Cameron Highland, Semenyih and Rantau where PH lost to Barisan Nasional (BN), Abdul Karim said this was a clear indicator that the people did not trust PH anymore.
“You can still enjoy your stay as the government of the day, but come the next election you will be voted out because the people have had enough of your lies.”
Meanwhile, he said it did not matter which political party was the government of the day, but the management of Radio Television Malaysian (RTM) must be ‘above board’.
“I understand if you don’t want GPS to appear on your programme, but events in the state such as sports, culture or welfare related should be broadcast,” he pointed out.
He stressed that RTM had a role to unite Malaysians through its programmes, and not a platform for political agenda.
“Don’t bring back what is happening for the last 50-60 years when BN was in the government.
“That is why the people voted for you (PH), they wanted a better government, and you are just repeating what exactly had been done before,” he said.
