SIBU: Concern for the community is the core of Prof. Dr Tunza Mohd Riduan’s struggle, who has been actively organising and participating in various social, welfare and community programmes for a long time.

For his dedication and contribution, he received congratulations from three organisations in conjunction with the awarding of a Doctorate of Business Administration by Wilmington Metropolitan University, Pleasanton, California, the United States recently.
The three organisations are the Saratok Dart Sports Club (KSDS), the Sibu Salim Cultural and Arts Association, and the Sibu Salim Da Wang Gong Followers Association.
Tunza also serves as an adviser to all three organisations.
According to a media statement here on Saturday, Tunza’s achievement is a source of pride for the association members and a role model for the community.
The award is seen as recognition of his dedication in the social, welfare and community fields.
He is now not only known as an academic figure, but also a community leader who is committed to strengthening community development.
Commenting on the award, Tunza stressed that effective leadership not only plays a role in guiding society, but can also strengthen economic competitiveness through the development of an entrepreneurial spirit.
“Motivation is the main catalyst to ensure that society does not easily give up in facing challenges. Instead, they must be confident in their own abilities and continue to move forward.
“Therefore, I place great emphasis on social justice and humanitarian work, whether through activism, community service or welfare programmes that benefit the needy,” he asserted.
