KUALA LUMPUR: Affin Bank Bhd (Affin Bank) has been appointed the Official Bank Partner for the Merchant Recruitment Partner Plus (MRP+) Programme introduced by Fiuu, Southeast Asia’s leading fintech platform and Malaysia’s largest digital payment provider.

The collaboration is a major step in driving Malaysia’s digital economy and strengthening small and medium enterprises (SMEs).

Through this partnership, Affin Bank will provide end-to-end collection and transaction banking solutions, complementing Fiuu’s payment gateway services, and giving merchants a broader range of tools to sustain growth.

The partnership was officially sealed at Menara Affin, Tun Razak Exchange, in the presence of Datuk Agil Natt, the Chairman of Affin Bank; Eng Sheng Guan, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Fiuu; Oon Wee Keong, Chief Operations Officer of Fiuu; and Hanif Mohd Yusof, Executive Director of Group Corporate Banking at Affin Bank

Fiuu can now offer merchants a comprehensive range of financial products, including Business Current Accounts, AFFINMAX (Corporate Internet Banking), AFFINWRKFZ (Payroll Services), AFFINAlwaysX (Retail Internet Banking), and SME support through SMEColony, thanks to Affin Bank’s banking expertise.

These services aim to help SMEs streamline operations, improve productivity, and add value for employees, while creating opportunities for Affin Bank to increase deposits, transactions, and new account openings.

The President and Group CEO of Affin Group, Datuk Wan Razly Abdullah, said that Affin Bank is honoured to be appointed as the Official Bank Partner for Fiuu’s MRP+ as it aligns with Affin’s Digital Leadership agenda.

“This collaboration underscores our commitment to supporting corporates and SMEs with innovative, seamless financial solutions, while reinforcing our role in advancing Malaysia’s cashless ecosystem, aligned with our Digital Leadership agenda,” he said.

Meanwhile, CEO of Fiuu, Eng Shen Guan, said Fiuu aims to help businesses grow with simple, reliable payment solutions

“Our focus has always been on helping businesses grow through simple and reliable payment solutions.

“By working together with Affin Bank, we’re adding banking services on top of what we already provide; so, merchants don’t just get payments but also the financial facilitation they need to run and grow their business with confidence,” Eng said.

Affin Bank’s appointment positions it as a key strategic player in Malaysia’s digital economy, reaffirming its commitment to financial inclusion, innovation, and SME empowerment.

With Fiuu recognised by the Malaysia Book of Records for the highest total payment and sales volume in a year, the collaboration is expected to accelerate cashless adoption nationwide, supporting Affin Bank’s vision to be Malaysia’s most creative and innovative financial company as it marks its 50th anniversary.
