KUALA LUMPUR: Workers can now tap up to half their monthly wages under a new Shariah-compliant salary advance service launched by Affin Bank Berhad in partnership with Shoraka Group.
Powered by Shoraka RAYA and integrated into AFFINWRKFZ, the bank stated that the service allows employees to access their earned wages in real time.
“It is structured with no interest or late fees and runs without affecting payroll systems,” it said.
It added that the collaboration also extends to Affin Islamic Bank’s Personal Financing-i for the government segment.
Affin Bank’s executive director of group community banking, Mohammad Fairuz Mohd Radi, said the solution strengthens its digital-first approach to employee financial access.
“We are delighted to strengthen our collaboration with Shoraka Group as we reimagine financial solutions for businesses and individuals.
“AFFINWRKFZ is now enhanced with the Advance Salary Payment Solution, supported by Shoraka Finsolutions Sdn. Bhd., which offers customers hassle-free monthly deductions, while our work with Shoraka Ventures on app-based onboarding creates a seamless, digital-first journey.
“Timely access to wages is an important step towards enhancing employees’ financial well-being, and by embedding BayarJak and Shoraka RAYA into AFFINWRKFZ, we are reinforcing our commitment to people-first financial solutions for both employers and employees,” he said.
Shoraka chief executive officer Wan Ahmad Nazim Mohamed Noor said the partnership is intended to ease financial stress while ensuring Shariah compliance.
“Our collaboration with AFFIN BANK strengthens our mission to provide inclusive, technology-driven solutions that ease financial stress while maintaining payroll efficiency and Shariah integrity.
“This is not just about access to wages, it is about empowering individuals, improving retention and building more resilient organisations,” he said.
The agreement was formalised at a signing ceremony attended by Shoraka Group co-founder Datuk Mohd Hasnul Ismar Mohd Ismail, co-founder Wan Ahmad Nazim Mohamed Noor, and Mohammad Fairuz as Affin Bank’s representative.
The launch coincides with Affin Bank’s upcoming 50th Golden Jubilee in October, which will be marked by its ‘50 Years, 50 Prizes’ campaign.
