KUCHING: AFFIN Bank Berhad has strengthened its presence in East Malaysia with the official launch of its Sarawak Regional Head Office and Hikmah Exchange Branch, here today (Aug 26).
The new facility was officiated by Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg. The Hikmah Exchange Branch is AFFIN’s 13th in Sarawak, up from just six branches eight months ago.
AFFIN Bank president and group chief executive officer Datuk Wan Razly Abdullah said the expansion reflects the Group’s deep commitment to Sarawak under its brand promise, “Always About You.”
“This is more than a new branch — it’s a strategic platform to serve Sarawak’s growing economic potential through inclusive, innovative banking,” he said in his speech at the launching ceremony held here.
The Sarawak Regional Office and Hikmah Exchange Branch offers comprehensive banking services including retail, SME, corporate, investment banking, and stockbroking.
The new office supports AFFIN’s Triple Banking Branch initiative, providing a one-stop banking experience. Facilities include customer service counters, the exclusive Invikta Lounge, regional offices, and meeting spaces.
The launch is part of the Group’s AX28 Strategic Plan, which focuses on unrivalled customer service, digital leadership, and responsible banking.
