KUCHING: The State government has decided to scale down the official birthday celebration of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Muhammad V in consistent with the cancellation of the birthday ceremony and the Royal High Tea reception on September 9 in Istana Negara by His Majesty.
In a press statement issued here on Monday, the High Tea ceremony and Raja Kita exhibition to be held at a leading hotel in Sri Aman on September 9 will be cancelled.
However, the Majlis Kesyukuran scheduled on September 8 at Masjid Bandar Sri Aman will proceed as planned.
Sri Aman has been selected as the host for the State-level Yang di-Pertuan Agong’s birthday celebration this year.
