BINTULU: Ahmad Alwy Muhammad Hudari, 20, has been selected as the recipient of the Special Maulidur Rasul Exemplary Figure Award at the Maulidur Rasul Bintulu Division celebration this year.
Born on June 7, 2003, he is currently pursuing his studies at Al-Azhar University in Egypt.
The teenager, originally from RPR Sebiew, was previously a student at the Tahfiz Institute in Kidurong and achieved the “Mumtaz” (Excellent) grade in the 2022 STAM examination.
In recognition of this achievement, Ahmad Alwy was represented by his father, Muhammad Hudari Syairani, and received a cash prize of RM1,500 from the Bintulu Division Islamic Welfare Trust (LAKIB), represented by its deputy chairman, Datuk Mohidin Ishak.
Meanwhile, Rabiatul Adawiyah Ali and Lee Hua Yu (also known as Mohammad Wafiq Rosli Lee) were chosen as recipients of the Outstanding Islamic Student Award for the 2022 Malaysian Higher School Certificate (STPM), while Lisa Irdina Saiful and Aniq Nazhan Mazlan were selected as recipients of the Outstanding Islamic Student Award for the 2022 Malaysian Certificate of Education (SPM).
The Outstanding Islamic Student Awardees for STPM and SPM each received a cash prize of RM1,000 from LAKIB, a wristwatch from the Malaysian LNG Islamic Welfare Committee (JKIM), sashes, flower bouquets, and certificates of recognition presented by the Deputy Resident of Bintulu Division and chairman of the Permanent Committee for Islamic Activities in Bintulu (JTAIB), Abang Zainudin Abang Turkey.
This award is an initiative under the Academic and Character Excellence Committee (JAKSA) Leadership Bureau, under the Islamic Education Unit, Learning Sector of the Bintulu District Education Office.
The award was established to celebrate the holistic achievements of exemplary Muslim students in academics, co-curricular activities, leadership, and character, introduce outstanding Muslim students who can serve as icons or inspirations to other students, and highlight Islam as a religion that promotes education.
