KUCHING: Ahmad Selihin Che Said, previously the Deputy Director (Operations) of the Rural Water Supply Department (JBALB), has been appointed as the department’s new director and will officially assume duties effective January 15.
He replaces Datuk Awang Mohammad Fadillah Awang Redzuan, who served as JBALB director from January 2, 2024 to January 14, and now takes on a new role as Director of the Sarawak Economic Planning Unit (EPU).
In conjunction with the appointment, the Ministry of Utility and Telecommunication (MUT) held a formal handover ceremony for the JBALB director’s duties between Awang Mohammad Fadillah and Ahmad Selihin, witnessed by MUT Permanent Secretary, Datuk Jafri Lias.
The official transfer of leadership responsibilities, which ensures continuity in the department’s governance, was held at the Land Custody and Development Authority (LCDA) Tower today.
In his speech, Jafri also expressed appreciation to Awang Mohammad Fadillah for his service and contributions during his tenure as JBALB Director.
