KUCHING: Malaysian accounting firm CK Partners (CKP) has entered into a strategic alliance with Singapore’s OA Group of Companies to promote AI-powered, cloud-based accounting solutions for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) throughout Southeast Asia.

Formalised through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on May 20, the collaboration brings together two firms with a shared vision to drive digital transformation and regional growth for SMEs. Both CKP and OA Group are official partners of Xero, a global leader in cloud accounting software.

CKP Managing Partner Jeremy Chia said the partnership will enable both firms to deliver end-to-end solutions that help businesses overcome common barriers such as manual workflows, high operational costs, and limited access to strategic financial guidance.

“This partnership with OA Group allows us to combine our local expertise with a digital-first infrastructure to deliver comprehensive solutions that enable businesses to thrive in an increasingly competitive regional and global marketplace,” he said.

OA Group CEO Alan Chang echoed similar sentiments, stating that the alliance would strengthen cross-border services and help businesses scale efficiently.

“Through this partnership with CK Partners, we can offer our clients the expertise and tools they need to compete regionally and globally,” he said.

The collaboration also coincides with the launch of a co-authored book by Chia and Chang titled ‘Why Breakeven?’, which challenges traditional models of profitability and urges SMEs to embrace modern financial strategies powered by technology.

The firm’s approach combines AI and data automation with strategic advisory, positioning accountants as forward-thinking business advisors.

“Digital transformation is not about replacing accountants but empowering them to become strategic advisors who decode data into direction,” said Chia.

The alliance is expected to offer SMEs services such as real-time dashboards, financial forecasting, virtual CFO support, and regional market entry planning.

“This is more than a collaboration — it is a catalyst for redefining how professional services deliver impact,” said Chang.
