KUCHING: Kuching City FC head coach, Aidil Sharin Sahak, demands an aggressive, high tempo start against Brunei DPMM FC.

Aidil’s men will host Brunei DPMM FC at the Sarawak State Stadium this Saturday (November 22).

He stressed the importance of setting the tone early, saying his players must not allow the visitors any time to settle.

“We must start the game aggressively so that DPMM cannot settle down.

“This is a different match, not like the cup game. So, we cannot think we are better than them,” he told Sarawak Tribune recently ahead of the Super League clash.

Kuching City are looking to rebound from their 2-1 defeat to Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) in the first leg of the Malaysia FA Cup on November 9, a result that Aidil believes should serve as motivation for his squad.

“We have to rise from the previous defeat so that our momentum going into Johor stays strong and the team’s morale remains high,” he added.

Kuching are third in the league standings with 17 points, while DPMM are eleventh with five points.

After facing DPMM at home, The Cats will travel to Johor for their next assignment on November 29, setting up a challenging away second leg fixture as they aim to qualify for the final.
