KUCHING: Kuching City FC head coach, Aidil Sharin Sahak, has expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the club’s management for entrusting him with the responsibility of guiding the team into the new season.

Aidil clearly is appreciative of the unwavering support and confidence shown by his employers.

“Alhamdulillah and thank you to the management for still believing in me to lead the team through the new season,” he told Sarawak Tribune recently.

With just two crucial matches remaining this season – a home clash against Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) on April 17, followed by an away encounter with Negeri Sembilan FC on April 20 – Aidil is focused on finishing strong.

However, the club’s decision to keep him at the helm for the upcoming season has given him a fresh wave of motivation and determination.

“The harmony within the squad is undeniable, and we’re always working hand in hand with everyone involved, including the management.

“That camaraderie is vital as we push through to the end of the season,” he said.

Looking ahead to the next season, Aidil also spoke about the incoming new players.

He highlighted their potential, discipline and character – all qualities that are crucial for building a successful team.

“We’re waiting for the management to make the official announcements,” Aidil said.

Currently sitting in third place with 36 points, Kuching City FC has had a solid run this season, with nine wins and nine draws from 22 matches, and will be looking to finish the season on a high before focusing on an exciting new chapter ahead.
