KUCHING: Kuching City FC head coach Aidil Sharin Sahak has called on his players to stay focused and disciplined as they prepare for their Malaysia Super League clash against PDRM FC tomorrow (Apr 12).
Aidil said the team’s calm and confident mood must be translated into performance on matchday as they look to maintain their strong run in the league.
“We are in a good mood and it’s time to look forward to this important game.
“But our focus is on PDRM first. We take it one match at a time,” he told Sarawak Tribune.
Kuching City, currently fourth in the league with 40 points from 12 wins, four draws and three defeats, have been enjoying a solid campaign that has seen them emerge as one of the competition’s most consistent sides.
The Cats have also created history by reaching their first-ever Malaysia Cup semi-final, further highlighting their steady progress under Aidil’s guidance.
They head into Sunday’s match on the back of a 1-1 draw against Selangor FC in the first leg of the semi-final at the Petaling Jaya Stadium on Apr 5.
The return leg will be played in Kuching on Apr 18, but Aidil insists his side must remain fully focused on the immediate task.
The Malaysian Football League has also announced that kick-off for the PDRM clash has been rescheduled from 4.45 pm to 7.30 pm following mutual agreement between both teams.
