KUALA LUMPUR: AirAsia has pledged to donate 15 pesos (100 pesos = RM6.98) for every seat sold from Nov 15, 2025 to Jan 14, 2026 under its “To the Philippines with Love” campaign to support disaster relief efforts.
The initiative follows a series of natural disasters, including the Cebu earthquake in September and Typhoon Tino (Kalmaegi), which caused widespread damage in several regions.
Capital A chief executive officer and AirAsia Aviation Group adviser Tan Sri Tony Fernandes said the airline hopes the contribution “can bring hope, help rebuild businesses and enable residents to get back on their feet.” Funds will be channelled through the AirAsia Foundation to support relief and rebuilding projects, prioritising community infrastructure, livelihood recovery, and capacity-building to strengthen preparedness for future calamities. – BERNAMA
