SEPANG: AirAsia has warned job seekers to remain vigilant against a fraudulent website impersonating its official career portal, following the emergence of a scam recruitment website detected on Jun 18.

The airline said a fraudulent recruitment website, airasiaexpress.com, is currently circulating and posing as an AirAsia careers platform to deceive job seekers.

According to AirAsia, the scam website mimics the company’s official careers page to collect personal information from applicants and requests payment of so-called “processing fees” as part of a fake hiring process.

AirAsia stressed that its official careers portal is available only through its career website and that the company does not charge any processing fees for job applications.

The airline advised members of the public not to disclose personal information, banking details or make any payments to unauthorised websites claiming to represent AirAsia recruitment activities.

It also encouraged job seekers to verify all employment opportunities and recruitment information through official company channels before submitting applications.

AirAsia said it continues to monitor fraudulent activities involving misuse of its brand and recruitment platform, while reminding the public to exercise caution when responding to online job advertisements.

The airline urged anyone who comes across suspicious recruitment websites or messages claiming to represent AirAsia to seek verification through official sources to avoid becoming victims of scams.
