KUCHING: AirBorneo has launched its official mobile application, marking a major step toward enhancing digital convenience and improving overall passenger travel experiences.
The newly introduced app, now available on Apple App Store and Google Play Store, reflects the airline’s commitment to a seamless, technology-driven journey for modern travellers.
AirBorneo’s Chief Executive Officer, Megat Ardian Wira, said the mobile platform represents a key milestone in the airline’s long-term strategy to modernise regional aviation services.
“This app is the first milestone in a long-term digital roadmap designed to redefine regional aviation, while enhancing connectivity across both urban and rural destinations,” he said.
He added that the platform will support a more integrated network, enabling passengers to connect smoothly from major hubs to rural air service routes across Borneo.
The application offers three core features, including flight booking, mobile check-in, and access to complete travel history, allowing users to manage itineraries conveniently in one place.
Passengers can search and secure flights across AirBorneo’s network through a streamlined system, while mobile check-in helps reduce airport congestion and improves time efficiency significantly.
Digital boarding passes are also accessible through the app, providing added convenience for travellers seeking a faster, paperless experience when navigating airport procedures and boarding processes.
The travel history function enables users to review both past and upcoming journeys, offering better organisation and easy reference for frequent flyers or returning passengers planning future trips.
Currently, AirBorneo operates flights to 21 destinations across Sarawak and Sabah, including Rural Air Services routes that remain essential for connectivity in remote communities.
The launch underscores the airline’s ambition to remain competitive and forward-looking, as it continues investing in digital innovation and expanding services to meet evolving passenger expectations.
