In his closing remarks at the prize-giving ceremony, PPDMS president, John Tiong Hua Kiong pointed out the event had witnessed numerous wonderful sharing, engaging forums, and heartfelt perspectives.
“What touched me the most was the video content competition. Through those works, I saw Sarawak through the eyes of the creators—filled with emotion and creativity. Congratulations to all the winners on your well-deserved prizes and keep going strong,” he said.
“To those who did not make it into the finals, please don’t feel discouraged. Every single entry reflects a unique love and connection to Sarawak. Thank you so much for being part of this competition. Remember, not making it into the finals does not mean you’ve lost. Instead, it’s a wonderful starting point,” he remarked.
He asserted that the end of the conference is in fact, the beginning of the next journey and hoped that the participants have gained new ideas, new friends, and new energy.
“May everyone carry this passion forward, continuing to create, and bringing the stories of Sibu and the voices of Sarawak to the whole nation and even to the world.
“Everyone can be a content creator, as long as you’re willing to take that first step. We will walk with you, creating together, exploring together so that the journey of creation never feels lonely,” Tiong added.
