MUKAH: Dato Alexander Maiyor will lead the Melanau Association of Miri (PMM) for another three-year term 2017 to 2020.He was elected as the President of the association at PMM Triennial General Meeting(TGM) held in the Oil City of Miri, LAST Sunday.
The event also saw the post of Deputy President taken by Cr. Abdullah Jaini, with Alexius N Munan and Haji Masni Amit, as the two Vice Presidents. Meanwhile, Polycarp A. Kom and Margaret Lio, were elected as the Secretary and Assistant Secretary, respectively.
The post of Treasurer and Assistant Treasurer, respectively, went to Dr Charles T Jolly and Alaister Maiyor. Appointed as the Women and Youth chiefs, respectively, were Salehah Haji Terbi and Lukanisman Awang Sauni, with Muhd Zulhilmi Bin Sani, as the Publicity chief.
Elected as committee members were Charles Vincent, Ishak Haji Baijuri, Priscilla Ubin, Spencer Hairin, Scholastica Supit, Aluwi B Zaidan and Yayah B Rosli. Mukah Member of Parliament who is Federation of Melanau Associations Sarawak President, Dato Sri Dr Muhammad Leo Toyad, officiated at the TGM which was held at PMM Building.
Besides the election, the auspicious occasion also saw the presentation of incentives to the children who excelled in their public examinations.
