KUCHING: Following a circular from the Ministry of Regional and Rural Development, Malaysia to temporarily postpone all matters related to Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK/JKKKP) including the appointment, transfer, allowance payments and others, the Sarawak State Government in a media release received yesterday said that it has decided to continue paying allowances to community leaders in the state.
The State Government will expedite the payment process in conjunction with the upcoming celebrations, Gawai Dayak and Hari Raya Aidilfitri.
