KUCHING: The Sibu Sacred Heart Secondary School Alumni Association of Kuching will hold its 39th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on July 25 to elect new leaders and discuss the association’s future direction.
The meeting will commence at 10 am at the association’s Resource Centre, P5-1-1E, First Floor, Chonglin Park, Jalan Tabuan, where members will deliberate on annual reports and organisational matters.
“The Annual General Meeting provides an opportunity for members to contribute ideas, elect new leaders and continue building a strong and vibrant alumni community. We look forward to welcoming all members,” association president Thadeus Ling Allu said in a press statement today (Jul 6).
A key agenda item will be the election of the Executive Committee for the 2026-2027 term, alongside the appointment of new trustees and an auditor to strengthen the association’s governance.
Members will also receive and deliberate on the president’s, secretary’s and treasurer’s reports, confirm the minutes of the previous AGM and discuss other matters concerning the association.
Thadeus said active participation from members remains vital to ensuring the association’s continued growth while addressing the interests and aspirations of alumni across different generations.
He added that the AGM serves as an important platform for members to exchange views, strengthen friendships and collectively determine priorities that will guide the association’s future programmes and activities.
The association has called on all eligible members to attend and play an active role in the decision-making process, reaffirming their commitment to the alumni community.
Members are encouraged to confirm their attendance with Thadeus, vice president Peter Kong Kuok Chi, secretary Louis Jarau or assistant public relations officer Christian Ansam before the meeting.
