AmMetLife pays out RM72.6 mil in 2024 claims

KUCHING: AmMetLife Insurance Berhad reported total claims payouts of approximately RM72.6 million for its individual policies during the period from January to December 2024.

According to AmMetLife Chief Executive Officer, Rangam Bir, the payouts include RM35.9 million in death claims, RM30.9 million in medical claims, RM2.9 million in critical illness benefits, and RM2.5 million for total and permanent disability (TPD) claims.

“These claims statistics demonstrate our steadfast commitment to our policyholders and our promise to be there for them when they need us the most.

“It also highlights the value of insurance protection in helping our customers navigate life’s uncertainties.

“As a life insurer, the inherent nature of our business is to be a force for good in the world.

By pooling risk and investing premiums prudently, we are always there for our policyholders in their time of need,” he said.

In line with its commitment to customer service, AmMetLife has continued to enhance the claims experience through the implementation of streamlined digital processes.

“These include digital claims submission, an online platform to check claim status, as well as simplified claims processing and tracking mechanisms aimed at reducing turnaround time,” the statement added.
