KUCHING: Sarawak is set to welcome thousands of regional music fans as Indonesian star, Andmesh Kamaleng, brings his debut full concert to the city.
The highly anticipated show, titled ‘A Night with Andmesh Kamaleng’, will take place on November 28 at Stadium Perpaduan, Petra Jaya, marking one of Sarawak’s biggest entertainment events.
“The event is expected to draw more than 3,000 attendees, including fans from Sabah, Brunei and West Kalimantan, highlighting Sarawak’s growing prominence as a vibrant entertainment and tourism hub,” said Minister for Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts (MTCP), Datuk Seri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah, in expressing confidence that the concert would boost Sarawak’s creative and tourism sectors.
He said this in the press conference for ‘A Night with Andmesh Kamaleng’ at Level 17, Baitulmakmur 2 here today.
“The presence of regional artistes such as Andmesh Kamaleng not only strengthens Sarawak’s position as a destination for arts and entertainment, but also opens significant opportunities for local creative industry players.
“This is in line with the government’s efforts to develop Sarawak as an events and performance hub.
“Fans can look forward to an emotional and intimate showcase, featuring Andmesh’s biggest hits, including Cinta Luar Biasa, Hanya Rindu, Nyaman, Jangan Rubah Takdirku and Anugerah Terindah,” he added.
Abdul Karim said that the 90-minute concert promises refreshed musical arrangements, modern stage production and immersive performances.
“The evening will also feature a strong line-up of supporting acts. Pre-show performances beginning at 7:15 pm will highlight Sarawak talents, Hasty and Zah Amirul.
“Opening performances from 8:00 pm to 9:00 pm will include well-known regional singers, Hairie Francis and Ramles Walter of Sarawak, alongside Sabah’s Gretchen Quirina, and AIM 2025 Best New Artiste and Best Vocal winner, Ryenald Guntabid,” he said.
Adding to the excitement, Andmesh will also present three special guest performers from Indonesia in a surprise segment revealed only during the concert.
Tickets are available in five categories: Anugerah Terindah (RM339), Hanya Rindu (RM259), Cinta Luar Biasa (RM219), Andaikan Kau Datang (RM189), and Nyaman (RM189), purchasable via www.saratic.com.
The concert schedule is as follows: doors open at 6:00 pm, pre-show at 7:15 pm, opening acts at 8:00 pm, followed by Andmesh Kamaleng live at 9:00 pm, concluding at 10:30 pm.
