KUCHING: The Anglican Mission Schools in Sarawak and Brunei Darussalam has paid tribute to the teachers for their commitment and sacrifices.
Its President, Rt Rev. Datuk Danald Jute, in his Teacher’s Day message, said it is important to acknowledge, applaud and give thanks to God for the teachers’ many skills and talents, their sacrifices and selflessness, as well as their dedication and commitment.
“Many of you have indeed gone and continue to go the extra mile generously, motivated only by your sense of calling as teachers with a clear mission to guide our young people to love learning and to prepare and mould them to be useful citizens.
“We know that there are those who do not appreciate your hard work and whole-hearted determination, even blaming you for their own shortcoming and failures as parents and guardians. May this be no more!” he said in a statement.
He also conveyed his appreciation to the teachers for carrying out and fulfilling their great responsibility of forming and teaching the children.
“Thank you for filling the classrooms and schools with energy and enthusiasm, and for inspiring hope for a better future.
“May the greatest teacher, Our Lord Jesus, who is the fountain of all wisdom, bless and keep you and be gracious to you. Amen.
“Have a blessed Teachers’ Day,” he said.
