KUCHING: A local man, believed to be involved in substance abuse, was arrested by police last Saturday.
According to Padawan District police chief Supt Aidil Bolhassan, the arrest of the 26-year-old man took place in a house at Kampung Telaga Air around 6.20pm.
The team from Padawan Narcotics Criminal Investigation Department (NCID) raided the house and found drugs suspected to be syabu weighing 3.11g valued at RM400 on the man.
The suspect tested positive for Amphetamine and Methamphetamine. He has a previous record of substance abuse and is being remanded to assist in the investigation.
The case is being investigated under Section 12(2) and Section 15(1) (a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
