“I have been informed that the proposed plan is capable of generating widespread benefits for the people of Sarawak and Malaysia as a whole,” he said in his Facebook post today.

Anwar, who was seen chairing the Special Sarawak State Development Meeting at Wisma Bapa Malaysia attended by Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg, received the presentation positively.

The meeting was also attended by both federal and state ministers, including Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Fadillah Yusof, Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas, and Datuk Amar Dr Sim Kui Hian.

Also discussed were the direction and priorities of development projects in Sarawak, to ensure alignment with Federal planning.

“All plans must be swiftly translated into implementation to strengthen the internal resilience of our economy against any external shock or that may disrupt our continuity,” he stressed.

He expressed hope that this collaborative effort would continue to nurture prosperity and well-being for all the people of the Land of the Hornbills.

Apart from attending the meeting, Anwar also attended the MADANI Aidilfitri Celebration 2025 at the Stadium Perpaduan Kuching, and a Federal Women, Family and Community Development (KPWKM) Ministry event at Wisma SABATI during his official one-day working visit to Kuching.
