SIBU: The Kanowit RC Boat Challenge 2025 has served not only as a source of entertainment but also as a platform for young people to showcase their talent and creativity in remote-controlled boat racing.

Ngemah assemblyman Anyi Jana said such events play an important role in fostering unity among the multiracial community while promoting local tourism in the Kanowit district.

Anyi, who officiated at the closing ceremony, also presented prizes to the winners.

The competition featured three main categories — F1 26cc–28.9cc, Mono 29cc–31.9cc, and Hydro & Rigger — with participants from across the state competing in an exciting display of skill and precision.

Jointly organised by the Kanowit District Council, the Ministry of National Unity, and the Sarawak Ministry of Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts, the event was one of the main highlights of the Kanowit Festival 2025 from Oct 24 to Nov 2 at the Kanowit Riverfront.
