MARUDI: The Marudi District Civil Defence Force (APM) officers responded promptly this morning (Jan 27) to reports of fallen trees obstructing Sungai Nat in Beluru, a vital waterway for villagers accessing clinics and schools.
The incident, reported at 9.32 am, led to the deployment of four APM personnel, equipped with a boat, to address the situation.
The team first tackled a location approximately 2km away, where they successfully cleared the fallen trees. They then proceeded to a second site nearby, ensuring the river was fully navigable.
Both operations were completed without any injuries reported.
