MIRI: An adorable kitten was rescued after it became stuck in the ceiling of a house’s storeroom in Kampung Muhibbah Kuala Baram this morning (Apr 23).
Fearing for its safety, a four-member team from Civil Defence Force (APM) Miri were called to assist in this unusual rescue mission.
A spokesman for APM Miri said they received an alert call by a 60-year-old woman regarding the trapped kitten around 11.20am.
When speaking to the rescuers, the woman said she heard a strange and desperate meowing sound coming from the ceiling.
The owner went to investigate the meowing sound and was shocked to find a kitten trapped inside a small space in the ceiling.
Now, the kitten is safe in the hands of its owner.
The team ended the operation at 11.50pm and headed back to their office.
