Armin Zahryl wins 110-metre hurdles gold in Singapore

KUALA LUMPUR: National hurdler, Muhammad Armin Zahryl Abdul Latif, won the gold medal in the 110 metres men’s hurdles at the Singapore Open Track and Field Championship 2026 at National Stadium in Singapore on Wednesday.

Armin Zahryl won the gold with a new personal best time of 13.82 seconds (secs), ahead of Singaporean Ang Chen Xiang (13.85 secs) and Clinton Kingsley Bautista of the Philippines (14.22 secs).

“I’m happy to have recorded a personal best of 13.82 secs beating my previous 13.85 secs. Actually, my target for 2026 is to run 13.90 secs and alhamdulillah, I set a new personal best.

“I would like to thank my parents, coach, teammates and local fans who have always supported me,” he said in a Facebook post by Athletics Malaysia on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Ng Jing Xuan won the silver in women’s javelin with a distance of 47.49 metres. – BERNAMA
