KUCHING: Speaker of the State Legislative Assembly, Datuk Amar Mohamad Asfia Awang Nasar yesterday presented contributions to mosques, suraus, clubs and associations in conjunction with the month of Ramadan at his office at the State Legislative Assembly building here.
Among the mosques which received the contributions were Masjid Darul Sa’adah Kampung Tabuan Melayu and Masjid Darul Islam Kampung Bintawa Petra Jaya.
Five suraus which received contributions from Asfia were Surau Darul Cemerlang Kampung Tabuan Cemerlang, Surau Al-Kornia Kampung Sourabaya Hilir, Surau Saidina Umar Bandar Baru Samariang, Surau Darul Hilal Kampung Pulo Hilir and Surau Jamek Darul Ibadah Kampung Rampangi Fasa II.
Meanwhile, Persatuan Kebajikan Islam (PERKIP) Jabatan Kesihatan Negeri Sarawak, Persatuan Kebajikan Islam Perubatan (PERKIP) Cawangan Pejabat Kesihatan Bahagian Kuching and Kelab Kebajikan & Rekreasi Majlis Islam Sarawak (KRISMA) were the associations which received the contributions from Asfia.
Present were the Secretary of the State Legislative Assembly, Senawi Mohamad and Deputy Secretary, Sharifah Shazzea Wan Akil.
