SIMUNJAN: Education remains a crucial foundation in shaping a better and more sustainable future not only for individuals but also for families, communities and Sarawak as a whole, said Simunjan assemblyman Awla Dris.
He said as the elected representative for Simunjan, education has always been a top priority to nurture a knowledgeable, disciplined and competitive generation.

“Education is not merely about academic achievement.
“It also involves the development of character, discipline and a strong sense of identity among students,” he said.
Awla was speaking at the SK Abang Man excellence awards ceremony held here on Tuesday.
According to UKAS, Awla expressed hope that students of SK Abang Man would continue striving to become knowledgeable, well-mannered and responsible individuals, in line with national education aspirations and future needs.
However, he reminded the students not to be complacent with their current achievements, stressing that success should be viewed as a stepping stone rather than an endpoint.
“Consider this success as an initial step and not the end.
“Continue to work hard, challenge yourselves and build a brighter future,” he said.
Also present at the ceremony were a representative from the Simunjan District Education Office School Management Sector, Dayang Norliza Awang Yem, and SK Abang Man headmaster Baharim Md Daud.
