LIMBANG: A total of 656 recipients, including imams, bilals, single mothers, orphans and persons with disabilities (OKU), received Hari Raya Aidilfitri contributions, in a meaningful effort to ease their preparations for the upcoming celebration.
The annual Hari Raya Aidilfitri 1447H/2026M contribution presentation ceremony at Masjid Jannatul Firdaus here was jointly organised by the Limbang Islamic Welfare Trust Board (LAKIL), the Limbang Division Resident’s Office, and the Limbang Division Islamic Affairs Office to support those in need across the district.
The programme was officiated by Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan, who also presented the contributions to the recipients.
A total of 202 imams and bilals from 64 mosques and suraus in Limbang were among those who benefited from the initiative.
Assistance was also extended to 247 single mothers, 93 orphans and 114 persons with disabilities.
Organisers said the contributions are expected to help reduce the financial burden of recipients in making preparations for Hari Raya Aidilfitri, while strengthening the spirit of unity and compassion within the community.
