KUCHING: A coordination meeting for the final phase of preparations for the Hari Raya Aidilfitri open house was held at the grounds of the Astana Negeri Sarawak on today (March 10).
According to a statement posted on his Facebook, the meeting was chaired by Datuk Seri Syed Hamzah Syed Paie, who is the senior private secretary to Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar, together with all 25 vendors involved in organising the event.
“Discussions focused on coordinating tasks and reviewing the final preparations by all suppliers involved, including the setup of tents, decorations, public address systems, logistics facilities, as well as other technical requirements.
“The meeting also covered the coordination of catering services and the preparation of food and beverages that will be served to visitors throughout the event.”
During the meeting, he also noted the importance of close cooperation and commitment from all parties involved to ensure that every aspect of the preparation is carried out smoothly and according to the planned arrangements.
The open house is scheduled to take place on 1 Syawal 1447H from 9am to 4pm at Astana Negeri Sarawak.
The event is expected to receive around 20,000 visitors.
Syed Hamzah expressed hope that the ongoing preparations will ensure the event runs smoothly, in an orderly manner, and creates a lively and meaningful Aidilfitri celebration for all visitors in attendance.
