KUCHING: The staff of Astana Negeri Sarawak attended a Ramadan preparation talk at Surau Astana Negeri Sarawak today.
The session was conducted by Syariah consultant Datuk Ustaz Khalidi Ibrahim from the Islamic Religious Department.
Also present were the Governor’s senior private secretary Datuk Seri Syed Hamzah Syed Paie, private secretary Junih Salleh Ahmad, and aide-de-camp Hamka Mohammad.
The event was also attended by senior officers and staff of Astana Negeri Sarawak.
The talk was aimed at helping participants prepare spiritually, physically, and mentally for the holy month of Ramadan.
During his address, Khalidi said Ramadan is a time for self-improvement, increased devotion, and strengthening family and community bonds.
He also stressed the importance of managing work responsibilities alongside religious obligations through proper time management.
The programme received a positive response, with participants hoping to apply the insights gained throughout Ramadan.
Beyond individual benefits, the initiative also seeks to cultivate a stronger sense of faith among Astana Negeri Sarawak staff, encouraging greater appreciation and engagement in the month’s spiritual practices.
