KUCHING: Hundreds of students, teachers, and community members gathered at Kuching High School for an Influenza Awareness Talk, jointly organised by Team Dynamic Kuching and GreenMedi TCM Medical Centre on Friday.

Led by chairman Eric Tay Tze Kok, the event aimed to educate the public on influenza prevention, distinguishing it from the common cold, and promoting overall community health.

The initiative, supported by Kuching High School, aimed to enhance public understanding of influenza and its differences from the common cold. By equipping attendees with crucial knowledge about disease prevention and self-care, the event contributed significantly to promoting a healthier community.

A major highlight of the talk was an expert presentation by Dr Bryan Sim, the executive chairman and chief physician of GreenMedi TCM Medical Centre.

Dr Sim provided in-depth insights into influenza symptoms, transmission methods, and effective prevention strategies. He also emphasised the importance of seeking timely medical treatment, ensuring that attendees were well-informed on how to safeguard their health.

During the event, Team Dynamic Kuching donated 300 packs of tissues and 40 boxes of face masks to Kuching High School to support campus epidemic prevention. The initiative promotes personal hygiene awareness among students and teachers while reflecting the team’s commitment to community health.

Beyond influenza awareness, the initiative fostered stronger community engagement and cooperation. Moving forward, Team Dynamic Kuching remains dedicated to working with various organisations to organise more health education programmes, reinforcing its mission to equip the public with vital medical knowledge and contribute to overall public health.
