KUCHING: The Mosque Youth Carnival 2022 organised by State Mosque Welfare Trust Board (LAKMNS) was aimed at providing a platform for youths and teenagers to participate in healthy activities.
According to LAKMNS deputy chief executive officer Mohamad Feisal Said, the three-day carnival (Mar 25 – 27) was an effort to prevent youths from getting into unhealthy activities.
“This is in line with the concept of ‘amar makruf nahi mungkar’ (calling to goodness and preventing evil),” he said when officiating at the carnival held at Masjid Jamek, Kuching.
Various activities were held such as Bicara Ilmiah Wanita (BIWANI), Youth Forum, Masjid Jamek Berselawat, Kayuhan Mosque Connect, Tahlil Perdana at the Semariang Islamic Cemetery, Smart Prayer Camp along with various competitions.
Meanwhile, visitors were also entertained to a special performance from a famous nasyid group – UNIC.
