Fire leaves 252 longhouse occupants homeless

BINTULU: A fire razed 36 of the 63 units of a longhouse in Jalan Sebauh Pandan here on Sunday night, leaving 252 occupants homeless. Bintulu Fire and Rescue Station (Bomba) chief, Mohd Meramit said the longhouse (Rumah Nyipak) was 70 percent burned and no casualties were reported in the incident.
